Empowering parents with insights and homeschooling tips

I’m Helen. I am a homeschool mom and I love to type. Pretty random, but that’s one reason I wanted to start a blog. I also love talking about my kids and homeschooling!

I grew up being homeschooled from K-11. I have a lot of experience with what happens when you’re homeschooled and some of the things to watch for with your kids. I did go to public school during my senior year, but just for the experience. I honestly loved my time there and realized that I wish I could have done both. Homeschool and public school. I want to help parents realize that there are alternatives to traditional homeschooling and maybe something else is best for their kids. I graduated with my GED and am very grateful for my mom who taught me to love learning and how to learn. I hope to help parents to instill that love of learning in their own kids. I got my bachelors in Linguistics because I love languages and wanted to learn more about them.

I am on the journey to homeschool my own kids and so am learning what is best for me and my kids. I will post more about my journey so please sit and stay a while. There are some things I regret not doing as a homeschooler so I created this blog to help other homeschool moms create the best curriculum and opportunities for their kids.
